And she got to throw out the first pitch for the Mets the other day. Now she has the daunting challenge of letting this moment define her, get an agent, and hit the talk show circuit. In the mean time, she needs the best trainer money can buy. This one moment could carry her through high school, where they will HAVE to let her play on the boy’s team. That could lead to a full college scholarship, where she could play baseball with the boys. This would be followed by her getting drafted into a minor league farm team, and maybe, eventually a place in the bullpen for a major league team.If her skill level remains high enough, she will be taken seriously. However, if her skills at ball slinging taper off, she could become a bad PR stunt for the MLB.

Essentially, she could become the next Jackie Robinson. No pressure kid…

this is only a story because she’s a girl. and this is little league. come on. she was facing boys who were just starting to hit puberty. i’m sure there are several games just like this thrown by boys. (and keep in mind, she didn’t face nearly 27 batters.) so this story gets a huge YAAAAWWWWNN from yours truly. (no offense, good sir.)
