He went 22-9 in 34 games. He pitched 304 2/3 innings, recording 268 strikeouts and compiling a 1.12 ERA. Of his 28 complete games, 13 were shutouts. That gets you a Cy Young Award and a league MVP.

Well… I agree with the sentiment.
